Like I said.. dapat new table. This one Zul personally pilih, from Ikea. Bought it on the 17th, like the day after balik from Perlis. Hehehehe Black is his favourite color. :)

Went to see this theater yesterday. Wah mmg best bangat. Those yang dah tgk PGL theater wil recognize most of the actors and actresses, they all mmg best. Nyanyi bagus, projection suara lantang, menari sharp!

Even Sean Ghazi (P.Ramlee), Liza Hanim (Saloma), Melissa Saila (Norizan), Atilia - anak the well known singer Salamiah Hassan (Junaidah) and Dato Ct (Azizah) are great. The theater is still on, until 3rd Nov, but as far as I know, tiket mmg dah sold out. Sorry you guys, you should grab it as soon as dia start jual tiket.

Adlin is the script writer and pengarah, while Zahim alBakri and Tiara is also involve. All and all mmg best. Rugi sesapa tak tengok. :)

Raya @ Perlis

Day 1 and 2 - Thursday 11/10 & Friday 12/10

Final day fasting at SKI, busy packing and cleaning the house. (I inherited my mom's habit - before u leave your house for any trip make sure it is tidy and clean. So that when u get back home, tired and everything, u'll find peace and relax with not much work to do). I find this very true.. very true indeed. Zul pesan, get some sleep, because u're the one who will drive tonite. But with all the work and 2 over excited little kids, mana ada masa nak tido. Last2 mmg tak tido lamsung. Busy packing cleaning etc etc.

After breaking fast, Zul pasang lampu lip lap at the sliding door, punya la seronok the kids. Seronok nak raya, hehehehe. Around 9pm we head for TBC ( my dad's house). Everybody dah ready, cuma waiting for the right time aja. Actually i thot nak bertolak early morning.. like after sahur but my dad said he wanted to sahur at his mom's, 3 1/2 hours drive away. So we follow aje la.. convoy. At 11.45pm we start our journey.

All I can say is that, we didn't arrive at my grandma's place in time for sahur. We have to stop at bkt gantang (which is only abt 15 mins to my grandma's place) for sahur and only arrived at 6.00am. Hehehe punya la jammed jalan, luckily we decided to stop at my my dad's birthplace. Heard on the radio the other day, someone going to A.star bertolak from her house in KL around 12 midnight and only reach JURU (Penang) around 11am. Tak sampai A.star pun lagi. Punya dahsyat la, banyak benau umat2. Hehehe

Anyway, I drove from TBC till.. err I dont remember where but Xpin take over after an hour nap, until Bkt Gantang. Then Zul take over, he slept all the way to Bkt Gantang, sbb it is his waking time! Zul is an early riser, during Ramadhan he didn't sleep after sahur, terus gi ofis. I didn't sleep all the way, and only manage to sleep after subuh around 6 till 8am. Around 9am my younger bro and sis reached the house. They came with my aunt car, bertolak lepas sahur around 5 gitu. Should we bertolak at the same time, for sure we dont have to queue at the R&R toilet and eat our sahur on the bonet of the car!. But what is done is done. Didn't do much that day, after Jumaat prayers we packed our things and bertolak ke Perlis. *My dad didn't come along, he wanted to stay at his mom's place for Raya. It was a sad moment to hug my dad and wishing him Hari Raya, it's the first time we dont celebrate raya together. Actually my siblings and him la. I of course ada.. :)

Reached at Kangar Perlis around 4+pm. Stop by at my grandma's (my late mother's mom) house. Discover that there's a new 'chef' there. Went to Pasar Ramadhan at the Stadium, instead of buying food, Zul borong the forbidden thing! Hehehe. At around 6.30 pm we headed to Sg Batu Pahat, our uncle's house where we spend our Hari Raya at. For ur info, we've been staying at my uncle's place during raya for the last 6 years.. so it's no big deal. My grandma's house pun dah sarat... so we sacrifice la. hehehehe. My aunty dah prepared everything, except bakar ayam for 'Panggang Raja'. Yang lain semua dah siap. Balik mkn aja. Mlm tu it self dah rasa mcm raya. The kids are happy.. main bunga api although it's drizzling outside. We yang adults ni dok tgk TV sambil makan and bergossip.. hehehe

Day 3 - Saturday 13/10 Eidul Fitri

Get up as early as 6am, berebut bilik air as usual.. hehehe. Had breakfast, (nasik impit with panggang raja and kuah kacang berdaging.. sedap tak terkata....) wake up the kids and head to Masjid for Hari Raya prayers. Itu yang best beraya di Perlis ni, semua bersolat hari raya regardless the gender. Just like at Shah Alam Mosque. But in Kedah, priorities are given to men and elderly women. In Singapore, only men are allowed. Sheessh..!!!

After prayer, we head to our grandma's house.. beraya and mkn lagi. Kali ni with ketupat pulut, kuah kacang spicy style, panggang raja (the wajib dish) & rendang dgg ampang style. Nobody dare to try the new chef rendang limpa & paru. hehehe

We head back to Sg Batu Pahat after that, while the kids follow my aunty pick up nasi minyak/beriani at his brother's house. His brother is a great cook. Mmg sedap! That's for lunch, nasik with panggang raja and some mixed vege with some leftover kari kepala ikan. Ah... sedap.. hahahaha.

I dont actually know where my kids were at the time. I was 'busy' eating.. and 'eating' and 'eating' hehehhe. My aunty ni pandai masak. Nobody can resist her cooking. Her father was a cook... so turun la dkt dia. Actually all her adik beradik semua pandai masak, sedap weh.. hehehe. OK.. back to the kids... it seems that my cousins, age range between 12 - 5 (all boys), bawak my two girls beraya around the area. They introduce them as 'Cicit Syed Omar'. The kmpg yg my uncle dok tu is known as Kg Syed Omar after my late grandad. The respond was 'Alhamdulillah, dah ada cicit rupanya Pak Syed'. Balqis and Bazleen was enjoying themselves eating whatever they hidang. I was kindda proud of them. They prefer to beraya rather than watching TV, unlike their mother (hahahaha).

Day 4 - Sunday 14/10

Had the famous laksa perlis for breakfast and then head to Wang Kelian, border Southern Thai. Kononnye utk membeli belah. The crowd there was quite big jugak la.

Ramai jugak yang pergi sana. Zul beli buah berangan 1kg for rm18, and my aunty beli 3kilos..!! hahahaha We bought stuffed katak (rm10) for balqis (dia suka peluk utk tidur) and small guitar (rm7) for bazleen. Bought sliper for Zul (rm6) and talipinggang polo (rm10) what else ek..? That's it kot. None for me. hehehehe. My sis, bro, uncle and aunty headed to pdg besar after that. but we headed home. Actually we are worried about the kids we left with my mute cousin and her hubby. The day before her husband said he wanted to go to his friends house so we rushed home so that they can do some visiting. And guess what, my kids were not around, they went beraya lagi.. to rumah yang lain pulak. Mkn laksa la segala bagai. Hahahaha. Main hujan lagi budak2 tu.


Day 5 - Monday 15/10

Around 10 in the morning Zul, Xpin and myself headed to A.Star (Yes, leaving the kids behind again... hey, dorang tak nak ikut tau) for andaman assignment. Xpin nak kena make up her colleague, sbb nak bertunang that day. Hantaran semua tak buat sbb uncle dia mmg dah ada kedai. Nice one jugak. See for yourself.

Cool kan..?? Semua fresh flowers. The cost utk fresh flowers aja dlm rm500. Sampai rumah dia dlm pukul 11.00am, then by 11.45 Xpin start make up. Pukul 1.30 abis, we all chow balik. Tak tunggu the majlis, sbbnye 1, we are not appropriately dress, tshirt dgn seluar aje, 2, we plan to melepak dkt Bukit Kayu Hitam pulak. wah.. hehehehe.

So we went to Bkt Kayu Hitam, the duty free shop is on sale! Wah, langkah kanan. Hehehe but didn't buy anything for myself except for 2 types of dark choclate, emm.. my favourite! (ni Balqis punya trade mark!) Bought a roller blade for Balqis for rm20 (after 50% dicount) + all the safety gears, including 1 set for Bazleen. We already have a pair of rollerskate back home, the one I bought for my younger sister when I came back from the states, err 12 years ago.. wow..! hahahaha. Still in good condition. Then bought a pluffy teaddy bear (rm12) for Bazleen (she got all fess up the day before, because I bought the frog only for Balqis) and that's just it. We headed back to Kangar and that night Zul bought 4 large pizzas for my cousins. (They can only afford to eat pizza when Zul is around, tidak tgk dari jauh aje la.)

Day 5 - Tuesday 16/10

Headed back to Kl around 11am.. and reached around 6pm. Singgah di Tapah (a must ni) for lunch etc.

We, especially the kids, had a wonderful time... yipee..

It's nearly over..

Puasa...
In a few days.. Ramadhan Al Mubarak will be over. Sedih, rasa still tak cukup nak beramal ibadat lagi and also tak tau whether next year dapat sambut lagi ke tak. :(. Niway, Ramadhan kali ni Alhamdulillah, better sikit dari last2 year.

Since the past two weeks, Balqis have no difficulties masa berpuasa, tak lagi rasa penat and meragam sangat. In fact people yang tau kata dia puasa is amazed when looking at her, still very energetic, still active, even when it's already 6 o'clock. Tak ada lagi soalan, "Lambat lagi ke nak buka Ma?". Maybe juga because dia dah tau tgk jam and tau pukul 7 time bukak puasa. And maybe because last year dia dah puasa and dah tau what to expect. My target for her is to at least puasa more than last year. Last year dia puasa 20 hari. Macamana pun, she's very strong and tough. The whole of last week dia ada exam, and she insisted that dia puasa. And the result is back, she gets all A's with all 90's and above. Sayang anak mama ni..

My plan with Bazleen this year is at least to let her understand what is fasting... and maybe give a day or two to try puasa. She's only 4 yrs old and I feel it's ok for her to try and puasa, if she wants to. But Bazleen has her own plan, the first day she fast (which is on the 2nd Ramadhan) she managed to fast until 4.45pm. Bravo.. bravo... The 2nd day (saturday) she managed to puasa the whole day... again.. bravo.. bravo.. And on sunday also full day. Wahhh... Come monday, dia kata tak nak puasa, nak puasa masa cuti saja and I said ok.. That was my plan also la... belajar2 aja puasa during weekends. Tuesday also tak puasa, but Wednesday she said, I want to fast! I said ok, puasa la. Was hoping she fast sampai pukul 3 or 4.. but she managed to puasa penuh. Wahhhh again...
Thursday, nak puasa jugak, I said ok.. dia puasa but around 5 dia kata dahaga. Nak minum. So pecah la puasa. Friday she insist nak puasa lagi.. so dia puasa.. penuh. And until now, tak tinggal dah puasa. Impress..? We all are too...

To some maybe ingat it is because 'the hadiah' we promise to give her and Balqis, but we did not promise any rewards of any sorts.. except if you puasa u can ask whatever u want to eat, provided ada jual dkt pasar Ramadhan aja (plus kfc, pizza and mcd la). That's it. And Bazleen fav food is anything yang ada nasi.

Ada jugak yang fikir, I'm too strict, forcing her to fast, but believe me, Bazleen puasa at her own will. Ada one night before tido, I persuaded her not to puasa.. get this.. NOT to puasa, which hesitantly she agreed. But then in the middle of the nite, around 3am.. she kejut me from tidur and said "Ma, adik nak puasa ma.. please..!". If you la, in my shoes, what would you do? I know she will definitely puasa even if we didn't wake her for sahur. She's very determined u know.. that little girl. So the rest is history, she's been fasting and dropping her pants (even panties) sbb dah kurus. Berat dah turun 2kgs. Hahahaha.. but still she insist nak puasa. Sayang anak mama yang ni jugak..

Am proud of my two kids, as for today, hari ke 28 Ramadhan, my sweet Balqis hanya tinggal 1 hari, and my adorable Bazleen dah berpuasa selama 23 hari. She's been fasting non stop since 21st of September. And because of that, we decided to give them a surprise present for their effort. Seronok tgk dorang tekejut dpt present. hehehe.
*Mama and Papa are very proud of both of you.. muahh*

Raya...
A few days lagi umat Islam akan menyambut Hari Raya AidilFitri. Mcm2 persediaan dah dibuat oleh individu masing2, but as for us, just beli baju raya. One each for the parents, (sbb ngikut tema) and utk the kids.. mengikut budget. :) Awal2 lagi dah beli baju utk the kids, and this year.. the 2nd week of ramadhan (22nd and 23rd Sept) dah selamat beli. The kids pilih sendiri (with tapisan from parents of course) baju and kasut. Bazleen senang nak pilih, she knows what she wants but Balqis is a little bit 'buta mata' when it comes to shopping. She wants everything! Everything - all the mahal things. Hahahaha.. But we managed to beli 2 powerpuff girls baju each (1 set tshirt and skirt and 1 dress) yg ada discount. :) Kasut and stokin pun dah beli. Baju kurung tak payah beli, my late mom dah beli 2 years ago.. :)

As for rumah pulak, tak de special apa2 pun, tak de sofa baru.. tak de cat rumah.. tak de langsir baru.. kuih raya pun tak de.. tak buat la.. :) kuih raya I 'pau' dari rumah my dad aje + some given by my sis in law.. TQ Ecah and K.Hawa. Oh mybe ada something special kot.. this year if anybody dtg beraya jgn terkejut kalau tak de dining table. Our dining table dah pecah. Yes, kaca.. pecah 3/4. How? We also dont know, but I think because the dining table tu mcm terangkat sikit and my hubby try tolak ke bawah balik and *prang*.. abis pecah. You are suppose to angkat kaki dia naik atas.. not tolak the kaca bawah. hehehe But apa2 pun, we all lega because when the incident happened, time nak sahur, the kids still tgh tido. Still terbayang time sinki hempap kaki Bazleen. Lega.. The good news is.. we are getting a new dining table from ikea, yihaa.. but the bad news is, it will only be available in November. So no dining table for now. Back to basic, duduk bawah aje :).

This year, initially ingat nak beraya dkt KL aje. But then kesian pulak dkt budak2. What is raya kalau just pergi Solat raya then balik tgk tv dkt rumahkan..? Still tak decide nak beraya mana2 until last week. I received an sms from my uncle (my late mom punya bro) "Raya mana taun ni? Mai balik sini, ada ikan2, udang2, kita buat bbq. Emm sedap!". That did the trick.. we decided to balik Perlis this year. hehehe. But of course after considering factors like 1) the kids would be enjoying themselves, sbb my cousins ada lagi yg still kecik2.. about their age. 2)BBQ.. (hahahaha) 3) mmg turn balik perlis pun, we decided to teruskan turn tu.. even without my mom. 4) BBQ... 5)BBQ.. and oh.. BBQ.. hehehe. (Eh sapa tak nak BBQ, ikan and udang fresh2.. my uncle tu work at a fishery company.. so mmg fresh la. hehehe. ). Slamat Ber JAM di jlan raya.. hehehe
