Penat family day tak hilang lagi, Sunday ada tournament bowling la pulak. On 22nd July, TM buat Inter-Tenant bowling tournament and Zul is salah sorang player bowling for BASC yang take part. BASC hantar 4 teams, 4 org in each team. Zul ajelah, anak bini tak involve. Tournament buat dekat Ampang Point start dlm pukul 2pm.

- lain dari the initials of my cousins, meaning tak boleh start dari S, T, A, N and F. My reason is simply because I have a 'special' cousin (cannot hear and talk), who addresses us using our initials followed by the 'rankings'.. (ahaks). For example, my name starts with S.. I'm the second child.. so my cousin will refer me as S2. So imagine if we have same initials, it's hard for her to address us, using sign language. (actually it's hard for us to understand her la, she can address us just fine.. alasan.. alasan.. hahahahahaha)
- kena ada Ashadi as the second name. My father yang request this. He said it's easier for him to identify later.. why when what how.. u have to ask him.. hehehehe
- kena dua suku kata. It's easier. My mom yang start benda ni, so my adik beradik semua dua suku kata aja. My late grandad yang bagi listing nama everytime anak2 dia pregnant, so they can choose from the list. Anak2nya just bgtau the syarats, like the starting initial etc.
- yang paling penting, ada makna yang baik.. Final say, of course my husband la...
So, for my first daughter, Balqis Ashadi, name was chosen by her dad, from a few names given by my late granddad. Antara on the list, Balqis, Muna, Zulfa (my granddad suka ni, dia kata gabungan both names, but Zul tak suka), and a few others. Tak ingat dah. Zul chose Balqis, simply because he loves that name.

My second child n daughter, Bazleen Ashadi, was suggested by my uncle and aunty from my dad side. Both of them graduated from Mesir, (yup. ustaz and ustazah). My late granddad was not well at the time, so we have to look for other alternatives. Thank you paksu and maksu. I've already delivered when we asked them for help. I told them I wanted the name with Ba.. (in jawi, B la) and dua suku kata. Within minutes, they called and said,how about Ba Zai Lam Ya Nun.. Bazlin. We agreed but changed the spelling (rumi spelling) to Bazleen, so that org akan sebut panjang sikit leen tu.. ada Ya kan.. instead of lin. Nanti org sebut pendek pulak, lari makna. Lagi satu sebab, sama dgn her dad.. double Es.. hehehehe

A year ago, today...
Mama passed away at 3:20am. It's already been a year, rasa macam baru aja....
Setahun dah berlalu, we get on with our lifes. Macam-macam yang dah jadi, Nuri terhempas, Malaysia dimalukan dalam arena bolasepak, Bazleen start sekolah, and papa moves on. Yes, papa ada 'teman' baru. Alhamdulillah...
Maybe sesetengah orang tak setuju or akan fikir bukan2. Yelah, your loving wife passed away baru setaun dah ada pengganti. Kata sayang bini...
Well, to me.. itu remark orang yang tak berfikiran seperti yg empunya diri. I know my dad love my late mom very very much. And I know, she is his first love. He fall for her when he was in his teens, and masuk meminang my mom when he was only 19. My mom was 15 that time and still schooling and of course pinangan ditolak. Only the third time meminang baru lah diterima. Live together for about 35 years and 6 months and 20 days. He was really devastated when she was gone. Really really was.. He was like, berkurung dalam bilik, and tak sampai seminggu he moved his things to the room downstairs. He doesn't say a thing but we know.. to be in the room he spend almost 16 years with my mom is too much for him. He used to do gardening with my mom, but he decided to hire someone to look after it when she's gone. He was like that (berkurung dlm bilik) for a few month. We always see him bangun tgh mlm, solat tahajud and maybe hajat... to calm him down, i guess.
Alhamdulillah it works, now he's the man we we grew up with and back to his normal life. Allah has answered his prayers and give him someone to cure his aching heart. This is where 'aunty' come along. We have met 'aunty', and she's ok. As long as my dad is happy then we are ok. Yah, my youngest sis, was againts it at first, but she come to terms when her best friend advise her. Tq 'Ain. Now I think she's closer to 'aunty' than any of us. Life goes on...

Muffins lagi..
Balqis hari ni mintak muffins lagi. Bising.. bukan nak mkn sangat pun. Seronok nak membuat tu aja. Dah about 2 3 weeks dia dok nag2 nak muffins. Nak buat muffins mmg lemah la, mmg tak suka la bake2 ni. Kalau macaroni bake ke tak kisah.. ni bake2 muffins, kek.. dan seangkatan dgnnya mmg lemah la. At last buat jugak la.. So ni dia ropa muffins tu.

This picture was taken a few month back, untuk register Balqis dekat sekolah agama. As usual, kalau kakak ambik gambar, Bazleen nak ambik jugak. It took 15 mins just to take Bazleen's picture. Just look at her face. She was upset because Balqis gelak at her for making faces. This is the best picture they can get from her.
Trip to Kid's Lab
Sabtu sudah we went to Pusat Sains Negara at Mont Kiara. Zul enroll the kids to take part in the Kid's Lab. Memula the Lab is just for 6yrs old and above, but because still tak penuh, they open for kids 4yrs old and above. So Bazleen boleh join. Seronok la dia.
Pepagi lagi dah bangun, around 7.00am everybody dah siap and ready to go. Zul kata we have to be there before 8.30am, nak kena register and all. I was thinking, eh,, kita ni nak gi Mont Kiara aja, bukan Seremban ke apa ke..... it's not that far. Paling lama pun 45mins dah sampai. But just diam aje la, sbb I know he rather be early than late. (Mmg he's like that la.. masuk kerja pukul 8.30.. pukul 7 dah sampai ofis.. apa nak heran lagi. Hehehe). Anyway, by 7.35am we've already reached NKVE Damansara Rest Area, Zul ajak breakfast dulu. Ingat nak grab nasik lemak bungkus dkt Petronas Station tu, but the kids nak breakfast dkt McD.. sheesh..! So McD la jawapnya. By 7.55am dah masuk dlm kereta and off to Pusat Sains. Sampai sana around 8.05am. Cepatnya sampai.. nak kill another 25mins.. with the kids.. aduh...
Luckily ada one huge aquarium at the entrance, so the kids dok tgk2 ikan dkt situ.. lari sana sini.. so 25mins tak la rasa sangat. Lepas register and get our tags, they bawak the kids to level 4 utk kids lab. Parents pulak, go to level 3, ada talk kena dengar. (Fuh, sib baik tak mkn nasik lemak, tidak.. mau tidur dengar talk!.. hehehe) The talk ni pasal "Unleashed your child's potential". Best jugak talk ni. In a way mengajar kita jaga anak2 ni la..
One of the thing mentioned is about Dr Gary Chapman's 5 Love Language. On how the kids interpret that we love them. We just need to know which one suits your kids. So tak de la yg ni kata kita sayang yang nu lebih or something like that. The 5 are:
Anyway, the talk is from 9 - 10.30am... sama dgn the time the kids spend dkt Kid's Lab. Lepas tu suppose ada treasure hunting for the family, but Zul tak dapat pergi because we have to rush back, sbb Zul nak kena gi the ACCA career fair. So after that was kindda rush for us.. jln sana sini jap... tgk mana2 yg sempat. Bazleen appreciates a few things.. but Balqis was too excited by the whole thing.. Cannot stay in a place for more than a minute. Wish we could spend a little longer there.. By 12.15, we're already on our way back.
We asked both of them about the kids lab:

About the experiment:
Balqis said - Best, first we put water in the bekas kaca.. up to the 100 mark, then we put serbuk 2 sudu kecik.. we take a straw.. something like straw la.. but it's kaca, we stir it until jadi jelly. Refer to experiment

Last Sunday, Zul bought something for the kids (he likes to spoil the kids) and the thing will be delivered to our house today around noon. He told the kids, 'I have a surprise present for you. If you behave the present will arrive on Friday, if not I'll cancel the present.' The kids loves surprises.. and do they behave the whole week. Hahahaha.
Anyway, on monday, being the impatient one, Balqis were counting the days, said 4 more days to go. Bazleen on the other hand said, I already know what it is, it's 'lompat2'. I was kindda shocked but managed to cover line and asked her, why you say it's lompat2? She just said, I dreamt playing with it last nite, so it must be lompat2. This whole week while Balqis anticipates the 'present', Bazleen was more relax and just say, I already know what it is.. it's lompat2. Zul asked her what makes you think it's lompat2, she said, I just knew.
So Friday finally arrive, noon has passed... now they are playing with the present.
And it's.... of course.. lompat2....

p/s - The moment the trampoline arrived, Bazleen called her dad and said... See.. I told you it's lompat2. If you don't believe me come home and see it for yourself. Hahahaha of course la the father believes, he's the one yang beli.

The past week...
Dah seminggu dah tak update the blog. Tak rasa mcm nak berblog, sebabnya it's 'the' time of the month when my mood is tunggang langgang. Those hormons... Here's the recap for last week.
A few good things did happened, like last friday, Xpin belanja mkn2 dkt Manhattan Fish Market. Yummy!! Had a large bowl of salad and some garlic rice, a few grilled seafood etc etc. We ordered two Flaming Platters for Two (picture left) for us - Papa, Zul, Xpin, Yah and myself. The kids enjoyed their kiddies fish and chips meals.
Balqis had the time of her life besides her fish and chips, she ate 3 bowls (ok ok.. it's two and a half bowls) of Garlic Butter Mussels (mcmana pronounce ni..? mcm muscle ke..? tah la..) plus some garlic breads. Mana dia letak pun tak tau. She appreciates food more since fasting month last year. Good for her :).
Then we tried to grab a couple of tickets to watch Transformers, but it was sold out. Uwaa...! Wanted to watch Bruce Willis's Die Hard 4.0... pun sold out! Kureng betul. Zul had to work on Saturday (it's the end of the month), so we girls just laze around the house. Sunday, we lepak2 at IKEA, as usual.
Monday, berjaya mendapat tiket utk tengok Transformers. Yahooo!! Best CGI ever. Cool cool movie. Duduk dlm panggung 2 1/2 jam n tak rasa apa. Tau tau dah abis. Best best.. Sapa2 yang hantu action movies.. Sila la gi tgk.
Next, Wednesday, tengok Die Hard 4.0 la pulak.
Full action impact. Bruce Willis nampak la dah tua, lompat aja pun nampak penat dah but still, blh la nak terjun kereta, panjat sana sini lagi. Another movie to watch. Cool show. Actually patutnya mlm ni baru nak tgk Die Hard but since tomorrow the kids ada appoinment dgn Kids Lab at Pusat Sains and Zul pulak has to attend this ACCA career fair (kalau tak silap) dkt KL, so.. we decide to tengok awal la. (btw we didn't bring along the kids to the movies, it's school nite la..)
A new member of Ashadi will be coming soon. Jap jap... it's not me la. My sis in law is 5 month pregnant, and she just realize that she's pregnant, get this.. YESTERDAY! Well it's not really surprising, Xpin's colleague only knew she was pregnant when she felt an extreme stomach pain. Turn out, she's having LABOUR PAIN! This is cool.. really. Some people sure tak boleh percaya, ye la.. dah 5 bulan or 9 bulan takkan tak tau pregnant, but then again, if you have irregular menses, this certainly can happen. Some pregnancy tak nampak, and u might think that you just put on weight ke apa ke. But semua ni kuasa ALLAH! Percayalah...
Abg and K.tnee... congrates! Naffzan is going to be a big bro! :)
Next week, might be spending the week at TBC, ada some hantarans due in August.
