What I've been up to..

Pejam celik pejam celik, rupanya dah lama tak menulis kat blog ni. Cuti sekolah dah habis, today la last day. Both the kids dah masuk bilik, and supposedly dah tido. (Will check on them in a while).

So what I've been doing sepanjang2 ni? Sebelum cuti sekolah of course sibuk with Balqis punya exams, Kebangsaan (she did very well so far) and Kafa (still learning to read in Jawi), and teaching Bazleen to memorized alphabets (still tak ingat all 26 lagi, dia tau kalau in order but kalau scramble mind dia pun scramble jugak) and how to read (she can read without opening the book.. fantastic! hahahaha cheating la.. she memorized bukan baca). But now Bazleen can already spell and write her first name. Bravo adik!

Cuti sekolah starts early for Balqis, she had very high fever (102) and to her delight, was given MC by the doctor. With her MC, her school holiday starts on Thursday. Friday was a cuti berganti holiday for SK and SM. Bazleen however, kena pergi sekolah till Friday. Balqis help me around the house during her 1st 2 days 'early hols'. Dia ni ringan tulang jugak, bila angin dia ok.

Didn't make any plans for the kids, just pesan for them to have fun... enjoy the holiday and jgn lupa apa yang cikgu pesan. Balqis ustaz pesan tgk tv sampai penat, main puas puas, jangan lupa solat dan baca iqra'. Bazleen teacher pesan soh baca some books (which dia baca the first day only) and finishkan homework (eh dah siap ke homework dia? alamak.. jap nak check). OK OK .. dah siap. Hehehe. Actually my advice is finish all homework as soon as possible so that u can have fun for the rest of the weekend /school holiday. Kalau Bazleen jumaat ptg dia dah buat homework, Balqis jumaat mlm dia buat. By Saturday both dah blh gi jalan2 hehehe.

Bought a couple of enid blyton's story books, (buy 2 get 1 free, hehehe), 1 buku cerita dlm tulisan Jawi untuk Balqis baca during cuti ni la. Tak habis pun baca but managed to finish buku jawi, and a few stories from one enid blyton book. Still a loooong way to go.

Balqis and Bazleen punya activities besides reading the books -

• tgk cartoon
• main pc games (err maknye dwld utk mak main, anak2 yg main jadinya),
• Balqis chatting - oh yes, dia chatting. So far dia tak tau add org lagi, so selamat lagi. Maknya yang tlg buatkan. Dia dok chat dgn my sis at work. Bazleen belum lagi. kalau dia tulis pun nama dia aje la.. hahahaha *Mak ucu - nanti kakak add mak ucu ye.. :)
• main imaginisasi role with adik, sorang jadi mak yg garang (err blajar dari sapa la tu) sorang lagi jadi kakak or cikgu or anybody la.
  
• main at her new 'clubhouse' (at my new self added counter top dkt dapur, they like it because pakai hi chair - ala2 bar like gitu, without the bar of course)

Balqis is so cool when it comes to handling computer. You'll be surprise on how she knows things regarding mcmana nak operate the computer. Like for example.. what to do to change the pc display, font etc. Maybe because I was using the PC 24hrs time masa tgh pregnant dia kot. So tekena dkt dia. Bazleen blh jugak, blh rosakkan computer. hahahahaha.

Last Thursday buat surprise to the kids, dapat naik komuter from shah alam to midvalley and maknye bawak tgk wayang Dr Suess, Horton hears a Who. Punya la excited, especially Balqis. Why thursday, why midvalley?, sbbnya Zul ada bowling tournament that night, so sebelum the kids tanya kenapa papa nye balik lambat, I bring them to him la. Hehehe. So no questions asked. Plannye just tgk katun, and then tgk papanye main bowling. Turned out that the kids restless sbb penat jalan sama kot, so sebelum bising, maknye terus bawak tgk duyung pulak. So kira 2 cerita la dorang tgk and papanye kena tunggu instead of the kids tunggu. Sorry yang.. hehehe

As for the movies, Horton and Duyung, both very funny, no lawak bodoh (for duyung), and very entertaining. Both ada pengajaran dia sendiri.
Horton's tagline - "A person is a person, no matter how small", about respect people la. Even anti abortion extremist pun guna tagline ni.
Duyung (bukan tagline) - pun about respect a person no matter how weird or what he do for a living.

Esok sekolah start, rasanya esok akan ada 'drama' dari Balqis.

• sibuk melebar kan empayar chocolatenya di Chocolatier - Secret Ingredients 2. Keh keh keh...

pss - Balqis buat apa yg ustaz dia suruh, even solat masa pergi midvalley, dgn telekung gelebeh2 tu.. hehehe. bagus anak mama ni.
